Research Associate (Computer Science)

The Institute for Digital Molecular Analytics and Science (IDMxS) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine inference limits of latent parameters given noisy, incomplete measurements.
• Pre-process (e.g., background rejection/subtraction, reduction, unsupervised vector quantization) and feature learning of raw detector data.
• Design and test machine learning models for bio-detection.
• Validate and interpret the results of these machine learning models.
• Write and publish scientific publications of these results in competitive journals.
• Engage existing and potential data stakeholders to scope for new projects.

Job Requirements:

• Masters degree from a reputable University.
• Proficient in scientific programming in Unix, Python, C, Mathematica.
• Strong mathematical background (i.e., Linear Algebra, Information theory, Multivariable Calculus, Machine Learning, PDEs).
• Prior experience and scientific publications in applying machine learning and data science to problems in imaging.
• Able to write and communicate effectively and independently in English.
