PURPOSE

  • Drive Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with group office and local stakeholders across selected countries to lead or actively participate in strategic projects that directly enhance value / ROI and achieve our Group Strategy KPIs. Your role will be pivotal in identifying opportunities, delivering actionable insights and driving impactful decisions
  • Lead Scorecard management: Actively shape the annual strategy plan and translate it into dynamic, actionable scorecard and dashboards. Take ownership of the entire reporting process, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy. Spearhead the development and integration of a comprehensive dashboard for FWD, fostering cross-functional collaboration and establishing it as the definitive source for management information and reporting.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

  • Initiate / manage / lead quantitative analysis to assess business case and strategic initiative (incl. distribution or digital initiative) implemented or to be implemented with an objective to improve/ monitor performance / ROI or review segment or channel performance to assist strategic decision
  • Assist stakeholders in designing strategic report / scorecard to track performance of strategic / distribution / digital initiatives implemented
  • Manage strategic scorecards / reports to senior executive to scorecard to track performance of strategic / distribution / digital initiatives implemented
  • Work with internal stakeholders (incl. Group Data / FP&A / Distribution / Customer Solution teams) to develop strategic dashboard to track strategic initiatives / incentives program and the Polaris KPIs on a timely manner
  • Design, coordinate and manage an integrated dashboard for FWD to create the single source of truth for management information (by understanding the processes by which data are collected, reported, and validated)
  • Conduct and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in relation to the development of integrated dashboard
  • Conducting training and education on the integrated dashboard to promote usage
  • Involve in / support quarterly dialogue / business planning discussions / STI & LTI target setting for selective markets (if required)
  • Conduct research and data analysis on competitors to support strategy and decision-making process (if required)
  • Provide guidance, coach & develop junior talents

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • MBA or equivalent business degree. with 10-15 years’ experience. CFA, Actuarial or Accountancy qualification a definite plus.
  • Deep insurance experience with technical financial and financial knowledge and yet with broad commercial experience in distribution and operation
  • Hands-on experience in managing cross-functional projects and developing quantitative analysis (e.g., DCF, IRR)

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Success in this role demands a strong strategic as well exceptionally good communication and analytical skills (ability to independently analyse performance analysis, competitive and market analysis, financial analysis and use the information in actional insights and strategies
  • Ability to run projects independently
  • Great written and verbal communication skills is a must to be able to clearly convey information and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • The candidate must have a highly collaborative nature to be able to blossom in an empowered structure
