Role Summary/Purpose

The Field Service Engineer position is responsible for providing routine field service support for our Sievers brand total organic carbon (TOC, Boron, Endotoxin, Bioburden and Conductivity) analytical instruments and accessories at customer sites in the Singapore and Aftermarket administrative activities. Administrative duties include the input of data into the Salesforce, Service report is duly submitted after job completion.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Conduct service activities on all TOC product lines including maintenance, calibration of equipment, inspection, repair, performance testing, and customer communications
  • Communicate and follow up effectively with customers regarding their PM Schedule in a timely manner
  • Organize and maintain accurate field parts stock and account for own inventory transactions
  • Preparing service proposals for repair service visits
  • Setting up onsite field services visits
  • Review pending /update service visits
  • Provide support to the Sales Department on setting up Demo at customer sites.
  • Providing Calibration Certificates to customers
  • Ability and willingness to travel with short notice as required.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule based on customer needs
  • Provide general assistance to customers and support personnel
  • Provide any additional support as may be necessary to aid the company in achieving its goals

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Diploma/ITE in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or Physics and at least 2 year of work experience in water applications or servicing and/or operating analytical instrumentation in a process or lab environment
  • Have a Valid Class 3 Driving License and process own transport
  • At least 2 years’ related work experience
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Computer proficiency is required with at least word processing and spreadsheets, and basic data base knowledge
  • Analytical skills / data analysis
  • Self-motivated, ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating significant problem-solving ability with an unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team projects in a sales and service environment
