About The Team

The Marketplace Web Frontend team is responsible for the front-end development of Shopee’s e-commerce web platforms. We focus on user-facing features (for both buyers and sellers) and internal platforms used by our operators. We design stable and scalable architecture to support Shopee’s fast business growth. Shopee serves millions of users, and we seek to push the limit of web technologies. We continuously innovate to build internal state-of-the-art engineering solutions.

Job Description

• Responsible for front-end development of various core business features
• Deliver world-class user experiences to millions of global users
• Write clean and maintainable code, and optimize code to improve performance, scalability, and reliability
  
  

Requirements

• Recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Familiar with at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C++, Java, etc)
• Solid understanding of computer fundamentals
• Demonstrate passion for front-end development
• Good collaborator and team player
  
  

Good to have

• Familiar with web application development and experience in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or other frontend languages
• Familiar with a modern web framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue)
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed
• Internship or open-source front-end project development experience
