We are seeking an analytical thinker to join our securities market operations team. The ideal candidate will have the chance to gain experience in one or more of the following areas in the securities market value chain: listing, trading, clearing & settlement, and depository services, including custody, corporate actions, SBL and KYC, as well as market data management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely execution of one or more procedure relating to listing, trading, clearing and settlement, corporate action, custodial services, KYC and market data operations
  • Proactively review and improve processes to ensure high standards of processing and risk management in daily operations and project implementation.
  • Analyze and provide accurate recommendation to manager for timely decisions in a 24 hour operating environment, when underlying issues and solutions are not apparent.
  • Support and drive completion of projects and initiatives to develop the securities products and platforms.
  • Deepen the relationship with Members, and other external stakeholders.
  • Support team manager and supervisors to build an effective and cohesive team contributing to SGX’s success.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree holder with minimum 1-4 years working experience in securities market operations, including familiarity with banking/broker/share registrar operations, where applicable.
  • Strong understanding of Equities & FICC products & processes (both Exchange and OTC)
  • Proven track record of accurate execution and an eye for details.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Can-do spirit.
  • Fast learner.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem solving abilities.
  • Strong inter-personal and effective relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Knowledge in VBA/ R/ Python language is a plus.
