We are seeking an outgoing and self-driven individual to join our team focused on enhancing organisational wellbeing and employee engagement. The ideal candidate needs to have a passion for fostering a positive work environment, with an interest in addressing the needs of our staff. The role requires the candidate to gather feedback fron internal stakeholders, distill insights to develop wellbeing initiatives, and manage both facilities and programmes.

The candidate will be a key player within the organisation who heads the Wellbeing Ambassador programme, partners co-leads of employee-led interest groups, and facilitate wellbeing workshops that cater to the specific needs of our scientific and corporate staff. This role requires strong communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to collaborate with multiple departments. You will be part of a team that reports directly to senior leadership and is recognised as a leader in the public service for implementing evidence-based employee engagement practices with proven results in driving positive change.

Job Responsibilities

  • Wellness Ambassador Programme:
  • Engage entity representatives to recruit staff volunteers to become Wellness Ambassadors (WAs).
  • Collaborate with WAs to plan and execute wellbeing initiatives across various entities.
  • Provide support and motivation to WAs to ensure they are effective in their roles.
  • Content Creation for Outreach:
  • Design engaging and visually appealing collaterals such as posters and emails using PowerPoint and other tools to publicise initiatives.
  • Create content that resonates with staff, raising awareness of wellbeing programmes and initiatives.
  • Interest in learning to navigate and use digital platform interfaces to update employee wellbeing information and event registration.
  • Wellbeing Awareness Workshops:
  • Plan feedback sessions to understand specific wellbeing needs of internal stakeholders.
  • Design and facilitate workshops from insights of feedback sessions. e.g. strengths application and positive psychology interventions.
  • Interest Groups:
  • Support the growth of employee-led Interest Groups by innovating ways to help them to grow.
  • Assist in increasing staff volunteerism and membership of these groups through active outreach and publicity.
  • Manage the administration of the Interest Groups, including processing sign-up forms and overseeing logistical needs.
  • Event Administration & Procurement:
  • Learn and manage procurement processes for catering and event materials needed for WAs, Interest Groups, and other staff engagement events.
  • Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Positive Workplace Management:
  • Coordinate with facility management team to oversee the Infuse facility, which includes theatre, lounge, meeting rooms, and pantry management.
  • Ensure the facility is well-equipped and conducive to supporting wellbeing activities and employee engagement events.
  • SafeSpace (Psychological Safety):
  • Receive training in para-counselling to provide support to distressed staff.
  • Learn and familiarise internal protocols to best advise staff on the appropriate path to resolution.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Positive Psychology, Education, Counselling/Social Work, Marketing/Communications, or related fields.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in employee engagement, facilitating workshops, outreach, or related roles.
  • Experience in event management, faciliating focus groups, data analysis, or membership recruitment is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a curiosity to understand and address employees' needs and the ability to inspire and encourage others.
  • A willingness to learn about and develop skills in Positive Psychology, Project Management, Choice Theory, Para-counselling, and Community Management.
  • Interest to learn and utilise new digital platforms to manage information, event registration, and data analysis.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and coordinate events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, to create engaging and professional communication materials.
