Deutsche Bank’s Investment Business is responsible for the origination, sale, structuring and trading of fixed income, equity, foreign exchange, derivatives and money market products. Investment Banking has established itself as one of those global leaders in these products by combining its unique distribution franchise with its pricing, structuring and execution expertise.

The Asia Emerging Markets (“Asia EM”) team in Singapore supports business and is responsible for ensuring accurate trade capture of complex trades and appropriate model usage. The team also provides timely, accurate, independent valuation and risk information to trading desks.

We are looking for experienced, proactive and highly motivated individual to work in our team. The role will involve accurate trade capture, market data management, model risk/exotics trade review and other initiatives initiatives/projects. The role requires strong stakeholder management with Front Office, Infrastructure Groups and other Finance teams across multiple locations.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Produce and analyze full P&L attribution, and resolving any unexplained P&L
  • Set up and testing of valuation and risk for new products and verification of new deal P&L
  • Continuous improvement to improve speed and accuracy of risk sensitivities, to reduce the level of manual intervention required in the workflow and to streamline the workflow.
  • Familiarize with bank policies around model risk control, valuation services and risk and P/L control.
  • Understand and analyze the root cause of exceptions, take ownership of exceptions and actively drive remediation.
  • Respond to internal client queries on valuation and risk, through a strong understanding of pricing concepts, model limitations and analytical pricing libraries.
  • Daily oversight of Risk & P/L responsibilities including monitoring of ageing exceptions for all asset classes in APAC
  • Familiarize with bank policies around model risk control, valuation services and risk and P/L control.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and partners in Front Office, Market Risk Management, Global Valuation Group & Operations to fulfil our responsibilities.


Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of prior experience working with a major international Investment Bank in a Product Control function or Middle Office Department.
  • Proven experience in Financial Products such as FX, Rates
  • Working experience and good understanding of trade capture processes and downstream reporting requirements, including P&L attribution , accounting, market risk reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in IT skills such as Microsoft Query, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, MS Visio, VBA, C++, Python etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business or Economics or relevant qualifications.
  • Working on driving continuous improvement of processes and workflow.
  • Possess intellectual curiosity in valuation problems with motivation to succeed in assignments.
  • Good analytical skills and thorough, whilst being able to communicate complex information to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Good team player and possess good Inter-personal skills with ability to articulate and partner with stakeholders


Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
