Job Objective

The Assistant Commercial Manager plays an important role in the maintenance and development of the contractual relationship of the Company with its Suppliers and Service Providers Pool. Responsible to the Commercial Senior Manager/Commercial Manager and working in collaboration with other team Members, an assistant commercial manager assists in the execution of any project/task as requested by the Commercial Senior Manager/Commercial Manager and assigns procurement/commercial projects/tasks to the appropriate commercial Department personnel.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate legal related tasks with the Legal Department with respect to Suppliers’ and Members’ agreements.
  • Coordinate the submission and circulation of necessary addendums to existing contract agreements (Suppliers/Members) as and when required.
  • Review Members Request Supplier Application Form and Supplier Request Forms.
  • Support the Commercial Manager to review all evaluations received from Members on contracted Suppliers, report findings/trend/issues to Directors and take actions as necessary.
  • Maintain and Control Suppliers and Members Contract database with contracts’ expiration dates.
  • Support the Commercial Manager on Tender Evaluations and any other tasks associated with the selection of Supplier per Cost Category
  • Assist Commercial Manager to negotiate with Suppliers, conclude Supplier’s agreements and manage the contract management cycle and process
  • Perform benchmarking at the request of the Commercial Manager
  • Handle all complaints received from Member and Suppliers as instructed by the Commercial Manager
  • Support statistics and analysis related to contract utilization and supplier performance
  • Perform Pricing and Market Trend Analysis at the request of the Commercial Manager
  • Present statistical data reflecting activity with contracted Suppliers to Directors.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Work Experience

  • More than 3 years related experience and/or training in the fields of Procurement/Commercial Mgmt./Supply Chain Management and managing day-to-day activities of a purchasing Department; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Limited Travel
