Purchasing Executive

Job Description

The Purchasing Executive will handle procurement, inventory management, and supplier coordination to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities include:

Procurement & Inventory Management:
Process purchase orders, manage stock levels, forecasts, and buffer stocks.
Handle product issues, coordinate with suppliers, and review profit margins.
Assist with short-expiry and promotional items.
Supplier & Logistics Coordination:
Plan shipments, promotions, and festive items.
Address container parking and Marine Cargo Insurance.
Regulatory & System Management:
Apply for SFA inspections and ensure Nutri-Grade compliance.
Manage SAP and POS systems for suppliers, products, and pricing updates.
Event & Sales Support:
Prepare product listings, buffer stock, and costs for events/roadshows.
Oversee event setup, stock count, and billing.
Other Responsibilities:
Support sales orders, stocktaking, and reporting.

This role requires strong organizational and coordination skills to collaborate across departments and ensure operational efficiency.

Job Requirements:

2-3 years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (F&B or retail preferred).
Familiarity with SAP, POS systems, or similar tools.
Strong organization, multitasking, and analytical skills.
Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience in inventory management and cost/margin calculations.
Basic understanding of import/export processes and food safety regulations.
Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Team player with interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal and external parties.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
Supply Chain or Procurement certifications are a plus.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required; especially to liaise with vendors from China & Taiwan.
