About the role
The APAC and GT IBP Lead role is a leadership position accountable for APAC and Global Travel S&OP, S&OE, and Forecasting. This person leads and enables the APAC & GT IBPs and Demand Planners to accelerate the corporate IBP program to bring to live strong integrated business planning process with APAC & GT Execs and multi-function team through strong collaboration and robust S&OP/S&OE. The role holder will focus on building strong People, Process, and Tools driving the i-IBP journey to achieve business predictability and insights for growth in APAC & GT Markets Business.
This role will also lead, coach, and bring to live the region IBP and Demand Planners a robust and reliable demand via statistical forecast and building block forecasting through APO (OMP in future). We expect this person has strong interest in understanding the business and end-to-end financial implications of demand plans resulting in service to Diageo Customers and inventory performance.
The APAC & GT IBP Lead is also responsible to enable an APAC & GT Regional Cascade to ensure APAC Leadership to be on the pulse of business in the markets by working closely with each market IBPs and Demand Planners and Regional Finance to validate market plans are on track to deliver regional ambition, and would lead the region IBPs to engage senior leadership to enable right performance delivery of the Regions and market.
Top Accountabilities
Leadership
- Outstanding Leadership: Creating a high performing APAC and GT IBP and DP organization through capability building and talent development. Able to develop strategic priorities with clear direction setting to steer not only his/her own team, but across Multi-functional Stakeholder. In addition to supervision and coaching of market multi-functional on Integrated Business Planning Process, role holder is expected to be part of APAC & GT Planning and Logistics Lead Team supporting the growth of the organization.
- Senior Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and nurture senior leader relationships across APAC & GT Execs, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial sectors. Partner with APAC Regional Finance to extract valuable insights for the region and markets, working closely with global and market teams to implement robust S&OP and S&OE process that enable business predictability with insights to enable regional growth.
- IBP and Demand Forecasting Excellence: Lead, enable and sustain across APAC and GT on Diageo's global IBP and demand management agenda. This role owns the region capability leadership in driving IBP Maturity. Possessing a strong understanding of demand forecasting operational processes including statistical forecasting and forecast value add through building block driven forecasting process. Most importantly, role holder has the strong business knowledge on market and supply dynamics including lagging and leading indicators to help guide and coach the team on creating a robust and predictable forecast.

Operational Excellence
- Business Planning Integration: This role requires bring-to-live the corporate IBP process. Embeds the cross-functional business planning process end-to-end, ensuring that Diageo’s commercial and operational strategies and stakeholders are seamlessly integrated. This includes leading the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) processes.
- Demand Forecasting: Own part of the SKU portfolio on demand forecasting and lead the Demand Planner on forecasting for rest of the portfolio, on both short-term and long-term market demand forecasting processes. Work collaboratively with the Market organization and ensure forecast accuracy and bias aligns with set targets.
- Governance & Standards: Oversee the monthly governance process to monitor progress and take corrective actions when required. Ensure that systems and processes are in line with global integrated business planning and demand planning standards.
- Systems Proficiency: Apply experience with demand forecasting platforms, including APO and other planning systems, to drive efficiency and accuracy in our planning processes. Develop new innovative forecasting and data processing technologies. Ensure smooth transition advanced planning platforms like OMP and SAP Hana.
- Continuous Improvement and Transformation: Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement and Transform in Supply Chain Projects to enable breakthrough supply chain results and sustaining it.
Role Requirement
- 12+ years in Broad-base supply chain planning and demand forecasting experience in a CPG company
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and executing Demand Planning and Integrated Business Planning processes
- Ability to foster effective relationships, especially with senior Execs and stakeholders
- Strong analytical mentality and data analytics skills
- Strong understanding of supply chain and demand forecasting/IBP operational processes
- Leadership, influencing, and partner engagement skills
- Strong Organization Building experience with capability and talent development skill
- Experience with advanced planning software with Demand Planning (SAP APO and OMP would be an advantage)
- Familiarity with supply network data platforms, ERP, and master data systems
- Education: ideally at least Undergrad in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Science. MBA or MSC preferred
