The Senior/Assistant Director (Graduate Programmes) is responsible for administering research and coursework graduate programmes at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The job holder will also support the school’s development of continuous education and training (CET), and new graduate programmes. The Senior/Assistant Director reports to Director (Education Management) and works closely with Assistant Deans, Postgraduate Coursework (PGC) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Planning

  • Adopt best practices for PGC and CET programmes

  • Identify novel education gaps and opportunities (and relevant teaching faculty)

  • Work with faculty and NHG clinicians to prepare course/degree proposal documentation for approval by School, University, Ministry (where applicable), Singapore Medical Council (where applicable) and monitor approval timelines

  • Review and recommend opportunities for process alignment, automation, or enhancement

  • Have oversight of the assessment processes for the PGC and CET programmes

  • Run Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs)

  • Collate data and produce reports for submission to School and University

Budgeting

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to plan and develop budgets for new courses

  • Monitor operating budgets for the PGC and CET programmes

  • Have oversight of operating and accumulated surpluses of PGC and CET programmes

  • Negotiate cost and revenue sharing with University and programme partners

Admissions and orientation

  • Support the Assistant Deans to achieve admission targets for each programme

  • Contribute to development of media strategies

  • Conduct briefings during orientation activities

  • Manage and coach new PGC/CET administrators to support their professional development

  • Any other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree is preferred

  • Background in higher education and/or healthcare administration

  • Experience in curriculum design and development

  • Excellent organisational, written, and oral communication skills

  • Highly collaborative team player, meticulous, resourceful, and adaptable

This is a 2 years contract appointment.
