Learning Support Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Teach students with diverse learning needs, providing appropriate support and instruction in small groups or individual settings.
• Manage a caseload of students, coordinating with teachers and parents to ensure their progress and well-being.
• Oversee the student referral process and maintain accurate records.
• Develop and monitor individualized learning plans and follow up on student progress.
• Provide targeted support in areas such as literacy and math as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify student challenges and recommend effective teaching strategies.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences as necessary.
• Maintain confidential student records and ensure their accuracy.
• Conduct evaluations to assess student needs and abilities.
• Work with teachers to implement differentiation strategies during planning and instruction.
• Coordinate with external agencies to provide additional resources for students and families.
• Organize professional development opportunities for staff and parents.
• Contribute to curriculum development, extra-curricular activities, and school events.
• Support school initiatives and collaborate with various departments as needed.
• Ensure adherence to school policies and guidelines.
• Provide relief teaching and student supervision when required.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school-wide events.
• Stay updated with the latest educational practices and professional development.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure students are informed of evacuation procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by school leadership.

Requirements:

• A Degree in Education, Special Education Counselling , Psychology, or related field.
• At least two years full time teaching experience preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $4,500.00 - $7,500.00 per month

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
