Job Responsibilities :
The Sustainability Specialist plays a vital role in advancing Razer’s commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility. He/She will be responsible for a range of key deliverables aimed at assessing and improving our environmental impact, driving sustainability initiatives, and engaging with stakeholders to establish Razer as a leader in sustainable practices within the gaming industry.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategy Development & Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine sustainability strategies aligned with Razer's business objectives and industry best practices. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, customers, and industry partners, to drive awareness, collaboration, and support for sustainability initiatives.
- Environmental Impact Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of Razer's operations to identify environmental impacts and risks, and develop strategies and action plans to mitigate adverse effects, such as carbon footprint reduction, energy efficiency improvements, and waste minimization.
- Corporate Sustainability Reporting: Manage the collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability data and metrics, including environmental performance indicators, social impact metrics, and progress towards sustainability goals, to ensure transparency and accountability in corporate sustainability reporting.
- Ecolabelling & Sustainability Branding: Lead efforts to obtain and maintain ecolabel certifications and sustainability endorsements for Razer's products and operations, and develop strategies to effectively communicate Razer's sustainability commitments and achievements to customers, partners, and other stakeholders, enhancing the company's reputation as a responsible and sustainable brand.
- Product Sustainability: Work with product development teams to integrate sustainability considerations into product design, materials sourcing, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management, with a focus on reducing environmental impact and promoting circular economy principles.
- Reporting and Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and measure progress towards sustainability goals, and prepare regular reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Sustainability Education and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and communications to raise awareness and foster a culture of sustainability among employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Industry Leadership: Stay informed about emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability and corporate responsibility, and represent Razer in industry forums, working groups, and partnerships to drive collective action and thought leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pre-Requisites :
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field. Preferably with Material Science or Chemistry background; otherwise strong interest in research and sustainability is sufficient.
- 2-5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, corporate sustainability, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact.
- Interest in performing life cycle assessments (LCAs) or a strong understanding of LCA methodology.
- Knowledge of ecolabelling schemes and standards, including but not limited to Type 1, Type II and EPD ecolabel certification.
- Familiarity with SBTI, TCFD, CDP, and Ecovadis rating methodologies.
