About the role

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving growth within the Commercial and Business Aviation market across the Asia region. This role requires a highly assertive and strategic sales professional who will proactively generate and convert leads, sell consultative services and membership solutions, and build strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the aviation industry in Asia, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in dynamic international markets.


Key responsibilities

Market Development:

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities within the Commercial and Business Aviation market sector.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning across the Asia region.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to expand the company's market share.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including airlines, business jet operators, MRO providers, and OEMs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing solutions tailored to their operational and business needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities across the region.


Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive business development initiatives.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and presentations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms while managing risks.


Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with corporate goals.
  • Develop annual sales plans, forecasts, and performance reports for leadership review.
  • Identify and prioritize key market segments and partnerships to drive sustainable growth.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met effectively.
  • Provide customer feedback to internal teams to improve offerings and support client satisfaction.
  • Support the successful delivery of projects and services in collaboration with operations.

About you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Aviation Management, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the Commercial and Business Aviation market.
  • Strong network and relationships with aviation operators, OEMs, and key stakeholders across Asia.
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business and meeting/exceeding revenue targets.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, trends, and regulatory environments within the aviation sector.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively across the Asia region.
