Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our ambulance services. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth running of services, compliance with regulatory standards, and continuous improvement in quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in paramedicine, healthcare management, and vehicle mechanics, while also demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and crisis management.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Manage and oversee daily ambulance operations, including staff scheduling, vehicle deployment, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all operations adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and internal protocols.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics such as KPIs and SLAs to uphold high service standards.
- Handle incident reports, investigate service challenges, and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
Vehicle Maintenance and Mechanics
- Demonstrate expertise in ambulance vehicle mechanics to ensure optimal functionality and maintenance.
- Coordinate with mechanics and service providers to schedule regular servicing and address repairs promptly.
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain vehicle safety, performance, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Paramedics, Drivers, EMTs, and support staff, fostering teamwork and a culture of excellence.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of all team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and address any performance-related challenges effectively.
Strategic Planning and Optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and enhance coordination.
- Implement innovative strategies to elevate service quality, productivity, and client satisfaction.
Financial Oversight
- Assist in preparing and managing departmental budgets.
- Monitor operational expenses, optimize resource utilization, and work towards meeting financial targets.
Customer and Stakeholder Management
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, hospitals, and key stakeholders.
- Address customer feedback and complaints promptly, ensuring a positive resolution and client satisfaction.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Uphold stringent health and safety standards across all operations.
- Conduct regular safety drills, audits, and reviews to maintain compliance with established protocols.
Crisis Management and Problem Solving
- Act as a primary decision-maker during crises, providing hands-on support to resolve operational challenges.
- Assist crew members in the field when needed and ensure service continuity during emergencies.
Qualifications
Education:
- Certification as a Paramedic is mandatory.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field is required.
- A valid driving license is essential.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in healthcare, emergency services, or logistics.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle mechanics and maintenance requirements is critical.
- Proficiency in using operations management tools and software.

Pay: $2,800.00 - $4,500.00 per month
