Prof Addison Wang Lin at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at NTU is looking for two Research Fellows. Join an innovative and dynamic research team led by, where you will push the boundaries of bio-inspired artificial intelligence and advanced sensor technologies for embodied AI research. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge science and real-world application, developing groundbreaking algorithms and systems that mimic natural processes to elevate the capabilities of robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Research Development: Design and conduct experiments that explore novel approaches in bio-inspired AI and sensor technologies, integrating insights from biology and neuromorphic engineering for embodied intelligent systems.
Algorithm Design: Develop and optimize algorithms for sensor fusion, perception, and spatial intelligence, tailoring solutions for specific applications in robotics and healthcare.
Prototype Implementation: Lead the implementation of prototypes using advanced sensor technologies, ensuring effective integration with robotic systems for real-world applications.
Data Analysis: Analyze experimental data and develop models to validate theoretical approaches, utilizing machine learning techniques to derive meaningful conclusions.
Collaborative Projects: Engage in collaborative research with interdisciplinary teams, contributing expertise in bio-inspired systems and robotics to advance cutting-edge solutions.
Publications and Presentations: Produce high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals and present research findings at international conferences to enhance the visibility of the research team and institution.
Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to graduate students and interns, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
Grant Writing and Funding Proposals: Assist in the preparation of grant proposals to secure funding for ongoing and future research projects.
Job Requirements:
PhD in AI, electrical engineering, computer science, automation and robotics engineering, mathematics/physics, computational neuroscience/biology or related field.
Strong research experience or research publications records in AI-related (or interdisciplinary field) top-tier conference and journals (such as CVPR, TPAMI, ICRA, RAL, TRO, Nature Machine Intelligence).
Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI and robotics (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB).
Excellent project management and leading skills. Experiences of writing research/fund proposals are required. Budget management experiences would be a plus.
Good communication, mutual respect/care, and team-leading spirit are required.
