Senior Electrical Construction Manager (M&E)

Job Description:

• Points of contact between departments.
• Participating in all technical and coordination meetings with the Civil and the SWCs, the Stakeholders and LTA personnel.
• Checking the designs prepared by respective trade consultants to ensure the designs meet the DCPS and specifications.
• Preparing status reports on site activities to the Project Manager with the assistance of the Construction Manager/s and Engineers.
• Monitoring site progress, reporting to the Project Manager for any manpower shortage and arranging for additional manpower as and when required.
• Manage construction activities and progress independently.
• Monitoring timely deliveries of equipment and materials for site installation during execution stage.
• Assisting safety officer and participating in all safety related matters including ensuring safe work practices are implemented on site during execution of works.
• Leading the subcontractors/suppliers to execute testing and commissioning and final handing over of the Works to the Employer and /or the Stakeholders.

Skills:

• Knowledge in Power Distribution System, Lighting System, Earth & Lightening System, ELV System and BMS/SCADA.
• Able to understand electrical drawing, specifications and requirements.
• Deep knowledge in installation details.
• Ensure all discrepancies in drawings must be identified and clear with clients prior to commence of site job.
• Check that approved material are used as per submitted approved and recorded specifications and certifications.
• Conduct safety risk assessment of work activities and comply to local or corporate safety regulations.
• Plan, organize projects to ensure smooth execution of projects to achieve best in cost, quality and timelines.
• Monitoring progress of the project, site staff and subcontractor performances and schedule.
• Liaising with clients or the client’s representatives to update on the progress.
• Carry out resources planning and control of materials, tools and equipment ordered and delivered.
• Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths & weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (specialized in Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• The Electrical Construction Manager shall have a minimum of Twelve (12) engineering experience after tertiary education with at least Ten(10) years of experience in managing building and construction of commercial mixed development projects of similar scale and complexity.
• Minimum Five (5) years working experience with LTA projects as an Senior Electrical Construction Manager is preferred.
• Possess high integirty, good interpesonal and strong leadership skills and Go-getter mindset.
• Organizing, planning and prioritizing work, time management and communication.
