We are seeking a full-time Robotics Instructor to teach and lead our coding and robotics enrichment programs for children aged 4-16. The ideal candidate will have a passion for robotics, programming, and education, with experience in teaching and managing children in a classroom setting. As a Robotics Instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and effective robotics curricula, managing and maintaining the robotics lab, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver robotics and coding curricula to students of various ages and skill levels
Teach students how to use robotics equipment and programming software
Manage and maintain the robotics lab, including equipment and supplies
Evaluate student progress and provide feedback and support to students and parents
Organize and lead robotics competitions and events
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in robotics technology and education
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to plan and implement cross-disciplinary projects and events
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
Participate in professional development and training opportunities
Requirements:
Experience in teaching and managing children in a classroom setting
Strong knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Scratch, and Java
Familiarity with robotics equipment and software, such as Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms, and VEX Robotics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging and effective curricula
Ability to adapt to changing technology and education trends
Strong organizational and time management skills
