We are looking for a dedicated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Network Specialist) to join our dynamic team! This role is critical for designing, implementing, and managing cloud network infrastructures that support our business objectives.
A brief summary of your job responsibility:
- Implement, operate and manage service-wide network infrastructure systems and services.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points / controller.
- Perform regular maintenance and/or patching to ensure the security, efficiency, and reliability of the network infrastructure.
- Prepare detailed documentation and reports for network configurations, processes, and service records.
- Work with the operations leads in ensuring the smooth operations management and enhancement of the service-wide network infrastructure systems and services.
- Work with the Agency stakeholders, service counterparts, operations leads and vendors in ensuring the smooth delivery of services and in meeting the SLA (Service Level Agreement) for the service-wide network infrastructure and services.
- Work with the service counterparts and participate in the matters related to procurement, asset management and audit of the service-wide network infrastructure and services.
- Perform network automation, i.e. capturing user requests from portal, to triggering workflow and implementing backend changes such as routers, firewalls, switches, etc.
- Overseeing all stages of network automation including prototyping, design, development, testing, releases and post support, including continuous enhancements.
- Develop and review the codes (e.g. in HTML, JavaScript, JSON, Python, etc) to ensure feature releases or enhancements are well-tested and ready for production.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in network operations / implementation role
- Proven expertise in network switching and routing
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in TCP/IP, NAT, QoS, Spanning-tree, Trunking, Dynamic routing (OSPF, BGP)
- Highly proficient with hands-on experience in one of the following network areas: DNS / DNSSEC, Proxy, VXLAN / Data Centre Network, MPLS / IPSec VPN / WAN / SD-WAN
- Proficient in configuring and managing firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower) and/or network load balancers
- Working experience in programming in Python, Ruby, Javascript, Powershell, Bash or Batch scripting is an added advantage.
- Experience in deploying and managing IT infrastructure systems with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent time management skill and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills and keen to learn new technologies
- Candidates who possess industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA-Junos, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator
- Experience with network monitoring tools and network management software
- Familiar with cloud networking and virtual environments
- Preferably familiar with Government ICT environment and/or with experience in hosting environments
- Experience in implementing and/or managing large scale enterprise data centre networks that contained minimally 1000 network points
- Experience in implementing and/or managing a WAN consisting of minimally 10 sites
- Experience in setting up Wi-Fi solutions, including AP and controller configurations
