What a Supplies Process Engineer does at HP:

  • We are looking for graduates who can assist our current core team of engineers who will be developing & delivering products and solutions to HP's next generation of Thermal InkJet (TIJ) Print Technology, picking up learning in the process.
  • Designs engineering solutions, including methods, operation sequences, and processes for the manufacturing of parts, component sub- assemblies, and final assemblies, based on established engineering principles and in accordance with general specifications and requirements.
  • Lead issue diagnosis and problem-solving, using a systematic problem solving approach.
  • Work in a project team of other manufacturing engineers and internal and outsourced manufacturing partners to develop and execute reliable, cost effective and high quality manufacturing solutions for moderately-complex products from new- product introduction through end of lifecycle.
  • Delivers professionally written reports, and supports realization of operational and strategic plans.
  • Collaborates and communicates with management, internal and external partners in outsourced manufacturing or development r regarding process and standards compliance, recording and reporting issues, and recommendations for problem resolution for manufacture of existing products.
  • Represents the manufacturing engineering team for all phases of larger and more- complex development and manufacturing projects.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • We are looking for graduates that have growth mindset & academic background of mechanical design, systems test, statistical analysis, engineering field of study (electronics, mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, physics, material science), analytical/experimental techniques.
  • Typically, 0-1 years of experience (fresh graduates).
  • Ability to apply engineering fundamentals & concepts.
  • Using engineering tools and software packages to design and automate manufacturing processes.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Design components using CAD.
  • Competent in adopting manufacturing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement etc.
  • Understanding of material properties and hardware and electrical component design.
  • Using empirical analysis, modeling and methodologies to validate manufacturing process and tooling design and specifications.
  • Competency in Industry 4.0 technologies/Digitalization/Data Analytics is a plus.
  • Ability to generate test plans, provide short-loop test methods and tools to allow risk assessment.
  • Ability to work and interact effectively with team members from other disciplines, cultures, organizations.
  • Teamwork and ability to collaborate and communicate ideas is highly valued.
