About Department and Purpose of the Position

Office of CMIO (Chief Medical Informatics Officer) supports CMIO projects that ensure the digital innovation and transformation journey of NUH. This includes cluster wide projects as well as national projects that requires the integration of the Next Generation Electronic Medical Record or ‘NGEMR’ to ensure smooth implementation with no or minimal impact to the ground operations.


Key Responsibilities


Data Compliance

  • Work with relevant stakeholders to establish the data governance and compliance process that are practicable
  • Assisting to advise internal management on the implementation plan for new data governance and compliance process
  • Support in implementing new policies and procedures by engaging the relevant stakeholders
  • Provide advice to NUH Staff on all data and research compliance related queries.
  • Evaluating all NUH research and non-research requests and ensuring they are executed accordance to NUHS policies

User Access Governance

  • Assist in establishing and reviewing IT procedures to ensure controls are adequately established to align with the IT governance framework
  • Support in implementing new user access policy and procedures by engaging the relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the periodic review of the organization-wide System Role-Based Access Matrix
  • Support in resolving ID requests pertaining to clinical applications and research projects

IT Audit Management

  • Assist to establish risk-based IT audit workplan and determine the scope of review in conjunction with the institution Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO)
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that the audit work carried out adequately addresses the key risks in the organization within a required timeline
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure management action plans for control issues identified are followed-up in a timely manner.
  • Work with CIO Office to prepare the requested IT audit items requested by auditors.
  • Assist to deliver ad-hoc projects which includes, but not limited to investigations, policies and procedures, training etc.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree from a recognized institute
  • At least 1-2 years of working experience
  • Prior experience in IT management, healthcare, business analysis will be added advantages
  • Inquisitive, meticulous and process good logical, analytical and process flow skills
  • Possess good knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills desired.
