Application And Infrastructure Support Analyst

Capula is a leading global hedge fund, head quartered in London. We are looking for an Application and Infrastructure Support Analyst to join our Singapore office. We are looking for candidates with strong communication and are looking to utilise their technical skills to support trading and middle office applications.
The successful candidate will be expected to cover first line IT support for all users and systems in the Singapore office, monitor overnight batches run in London, and support proprietary applications developed in Python and C#. The candidate will use and develop their skills in Python, SQL, FIS Front Arena and some C#.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st line support for all aspects of IT in the Singapore office
- Provide remote 1st line IT support for users in Tokyo and Hong Kong offices from time to time
- React and resolve L1/L2 issues for all applications, as the first line of defence
- Detailed analysis of issues that need escalation to L3
- Learning the financial products and business operations happening at Capula
- Creating and enhancing monitoring dashboards using Grafana and metric driven alerting
- Actively participate in Business Continuity planning and testing for the Singapore office
- Uphold the firm’s cybersecurity standards and best practices
- Coordinate and undertake desk moves
- Day to day management of a complex application suite, improving stability and performance over time
- Overnight support as necessary, systems are global in scope. On call L2 support
- Able to liaise with remote teams
- Release management working closely with the Dev team
- Basic scripting (generally in Python) to automate some manual procedures or information gathering via APIs
Longer term duties and responsibilities:
- Seeing trends/themes in application support to guide the team priorities towards resolutions with bigger returns on investment and/or reductions in operational risk
- Perform some development tasks (when support workload allows for it)
- Tasks to be limited only by level of development skills the candidate wants to achieve
- Growth in scope of role to that of Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Education and Qualifications:
- Quantitative degree is desirable, but not necessary
Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience supporting end users within financial services
- Familiarity with FIS Front Arena or a similar financial suite
- Experience of working in a fast-paced pressurised environment
- Some experience dealing with the Front Office, ideally in a Hedge Fund, would be advantageous
- Calm and easy-going person, able to empathize with distressed users in a fast paced, high performance environment. Ability to quickly discover users' personality traits and manage them accordingly
- Experience using Python
- Experience support hardware and software for all end-user computing needs within a trade floor/financial services environment
- Knowledge of Git, Grafana, Prometheus is highly desirable.
- Knowledge and understanding of supporting both fixed-line and mobile device solutions
- Maintaining and troubleshooting HP desktop PCs and iOS devices
- Some understanding of Fixed Income financial products would be beneficial, for example, bonds, swaps, IR futures, repos, swaptions, bond futures, etc
- Working knowledge of one or more of FIS Front Arena, Excel, SQL, C#, would be a plus
