About the Role

Job Description

Workday is looking for a Travel and Meetings Operations Manager to support the areas of Travel and Meeting & Events within the Global Procurement Office. This person will also be one of the team members responsible for day to day operations of Travel and Meeting & Events supporting Workmates. They will also be responsible for documenting and developing processes within Workday’s Travel and Meeting & Events operations. Additionally, this person will collaborate and work closely with the Travel and Meeting & Events Sourcing team on strategic initiatives to optimize related programs at Workday.

Responsibilities:

  • Day to day operations for Travel and Meeting & Events, supporting Workmates.

  • Collaborate with and support activities aligned with the meetings and events sourcing and supplier strategy.

  • Support and lead execution of Travel and Meeting & Events programs.

  • Document and create standard operating procedures for Travel.

  • Build relationships with key suppliers to drive strategic commercial initiatives.

  • Leverage internal systems to automate reports and scale current/future processes.

  • Ability to analyze data, reports and dashboards and a willingness to “dive into” systems and formulate new and better ideas on how to better support stakeholders and improve processes.

  • Must be exceptionally detail-oriented, independent and able to successfully manage multiple, concurrent project demands within an established timeline.

  • Positive and consistent customer service orientation. Professional interpersonal skills for a spectrum of stakeholders.

  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.

  • Stay ahead of industry standards and trends related to responsibilities.

  • Participate in and/or lead various special projects, as needed.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, corporate meetings & events and/or travel

  • Basic understanding of Travel or Meeting & Events tools

  • Undergraduate Degree

Additional Qualifications

  • Understanding of the procure to pay process and how it relates to travel and/or meeting & events.

  • Demonstration of critical thinking, by translating, analyzing and creating solutions from advanced financial modeling and data analytics.

  • Possess a positive attitude, excellent communication and analytical skills

  • Proactive, result oriented, with a can-do attitude in meeting critical deadlines
