Senior Assistant Director, IPGC Programme Management and Operations
NTU PACE plays a pivotal role in driving NTU’s lifelong learning initiatives under Continuing Education & Training (CET), as well as in offering innovative interdisciplinary Master of Science programmes. This role is specifically responsible for providing leadership, strategic oversight, operational guidance for all academic matters, and student administrative services for the suite of inter-disciplinary graduate programmes (IPGC).
The position reports to the Deputy Director (Operations Management). He/She will manage a team of 4 professionals to ensure smooth and seamless delivery for the programmes. He/She will oversee the development of programmes and services that enhance students’ engagement and well-being. He/She needs to work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders such as alumni, current students, academic departments within the University, and other academic/partner institutions in ensuring a high-quality learning experience for the IPGC programmes. Key Responsibilities
Planning and Leadership
- Work with Deputy Director (Operations Management) to develop and implement a plan for student outreach and experience that aligns with NTU’s mission, vision, and goals for inter-disciplinary graduate programmes
- Lead, manage and develop the team, and provide professional development opportunities
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with the respective Programme Directors of the IPGC Master Programmes to formulate and strategise operations to support the programmes.
- Build and maintain strong partnership with industry stakeholders to increase industry-sponsored projects pipelines for the IPGC Master programmes
Inter-disciplinary graduate programmes (IPGC) management
- Oversee the development and implementation of programmes and services that enhance the student experience, from admission, orientation, classes, examination, through to graduation.
Student Management
- Work closely with NTU departments including Student Affairs Office, Student Academic Office, Admission Office, Career Attachment Office to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for students.
- Lead initiatives that promote student involvement in co-curricular activities, clubs, and organizations to foster a vibrant campus community.
- Develop strategies to enhance student development and satisfaction, including career support services, mentorship programmes, and wellness initiatives.
Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement
- Provide strategic insights and develop an integrated plan to boost IPGC student intake by analyzing data gathered from surveys conducted by NTU or external parties
- Monitor IPGC programmes' budget and expenditures to ensure good financial health
Key Requirements and Competencies
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business or related areas
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience in administration or education programme management.
- Strong ability to acquire and apply knowledge of the University's academic policies and regulations, as well as academic programmes offerings and structures
- Financial and budgeting skills, with experience in managing resources within a budgetary framework whilst ensuring appropriate levels of service provision.
- Proven ability to lead in a changing work environment, as well as to exercise judgment and to work under pressure, with competing deadlines and priorities
- Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic plans
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders
