Job Responsibilities:

1. Engine Operations:

Operate and maintain vessel engines as a Class 2 Engine Driver.
Conduct regular engine room checks, ensuring smooth operation of main and auxiliary engines, pumps, and generators.
Monitor fuel consumption, oil levels, and engine performance, making adjustments as needed.

2. Vessel Maintenance & Repairs:

Perform mechanical repairs, routine maintenance, and overhauls on a variety of fleet vessels, including barges, tugboats, and other marine crafts.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Oversee the maintenance of vessel propulsion systems, pumps, hydraulics, and auxiliary equipment.
Replace damaged or worn-out components, lubricate parts, and adjust engine settings for optimal performance.

3. Fleet Management:

Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities for multiple vessels in the fleet.
Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports for each vessel.
Conduct pre-voyage and post-voyage inspections to ensure vessels are seaworthy.
Provide daily report to management on activities and feedback.
Skills in documenting and filing of daily reports, PRF and inventory spares.

4. Safety & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) safety standards and regulations.
Implement safety measures in engine room operations and onboard equipment handling.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the engine room and other mechanical areas.

5. Crew Training & Support:

Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers or crew members on mechanical systems and repairs.
Assist in the training of engine room crew on routine checks and emergency procedures.
Collaborate with vessel captains and management to ensure efficient operation of the fleet.

Job Requirements:

Class 2 Marine Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC) or equivalent recognized by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
