Software Developer (ETL, Datawarehousing, Teradata, Banking)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using IBM Infosphere DataStage

• Develop jobs for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various source systems using Oracle and Teradata).

• Develop and optimize complex ETL jobs, including dynamic parameterization for file names, passwords, and other runtime parameters.

• Design and implement dimensional data models

• Conduct performance tuning at the job and project level to ensure efficient data processing and minimize resource utilization.

• Optimize ETL job performance, data extraction, and loading processes.

• Apply best practices in ETL development to enhance performance, reduce processing time, and ensure scalability.

• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior team members.

• Document ETL processes, job configurations, and technical specifications following standard naming conventions.

• Maintain job schedules using scheduling tools (Autosys, Control-M).

• Create, compile, and run jobs using DataStage Designer, and monitor job status and logs using DataStage Director.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-8 years of strong experience in ETL design and development

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Datawarehousing and Teradata

• Minimum 3 years in Banking

• Strong experience in Datastage and other data integration tools

• Experience with Oracle 10g, SQL and other relational databases.

• Strong understanding of dimensional data modeling

• Familiarity with DataStage performance optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with JSON files, REST APIs, and Hierarchical Stage for data transformations.

• Proficiency in SQL for database querying and data extraction.

• Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting and command-line operations.

• Expertise in OLAP, query-intensive database design, and performance tuning.
