Your Role
Mighty Jaxx is looking for a Finance Executive to support our finance operations and
reporting needs. This role will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate closely with
cross-functional teams such as operation team in Play-E office, Managing Director and
Head of Operation. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate financial reporting,
maintain compliance with financial regulations, and assist in budgeting, maintaining the
management accounts schedule, payment processing, and ensuring information tallies
between the POS system and Microsoft Dynamics ERP system.
Responsibilities
Revenue Recognition and Reconciliation
- Ensure revenue transactions are recorded accurately and align with Mighty Jaxx
- Perform deferred revenue reconciliation, tracking pre-orders in the general ledger.
Payment Processing and Bank Transactions
- Generate payment vouchers and prepare payments.
- Process payments through the accounting system and bank portal.
- Perform bank reconciliations (transitioning to the administrative team in the future).
- Assist with handling payment disputes from payment gateways or sales platforms,
including short charges, refunds, and charge-backs.
General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Audit Support
- Maintain the management account schedule and ensure records are accurate.
- Process all general ledger journal entries for month-end close.
- Maintain fixed asset records and generate journal vouchers for monthly
- Support audit processes, including liaising with auditors during the annual stock
- Perform any other duties assigned by the CFO or Finance Managers.
Requirements
- Prior experience in the retail industry would be a bonus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics ERP or similar systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables,
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet set deadlines.
- Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
