About the Role

The role holder is responsible for manpower of AIA agency and AIA FA in order to fulfill our vision of having the largest, most professional, productive and qualified people. This is an outcome driven role whose success is measured by recruitment and retention of our sales force as well as productivity of new agents (measured in Value of New Business).

The role holder will be supported by a team of Talent Acquisition Managers and administrative support staff.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, manage and supervise a team of Talent Acquisition Managers and Administrative Support. The team will work in agile manner to support the respective Heads of Agency, AIA FA CEO and SDOAs.
  • Support the Head of Talent Acquisition & Development in developing and driving strategies; align the team to work towards increasing manpower by effective recruitment and reducing attrition as well as own and drive New Agents VONB. To be done at Company/Cluster/Agency Level, in collaboration with relevant cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead team to plan company level recruitment events and incentives.
  • Distribution support for onboarding issues and Business Owner of new agency leaders and agents onboarding tool.
  • Conduct recruitment-related interviews.
  • Lead team of Talent Acquisition Managers in performance reviews for FAS and LEAP representatives.
  • Align with and adhere to regulatory requirements and changes to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Review appeals, schemes and processes to ensure alignment with objectives and guidelines as well as for improvements.
  • Timely and effective communication, discussions and negotiation with internal (cross functional colleagues, AIAS and AIAFA) and external (experienced potential candidates) stakeholders on recruitment matters, conveying the right messages in a concise and effective manner so as to achieve buy-in from stakeholders across different functions and drive desired business outcomes.
  • Regular engagement and reviews with agency leaders to drive desired business outcomes.
  • Plan budget and ensure efficient use of resources.

Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by manager in order to meet business objectives, operational and/or other requirements.

  • Tied Distribution VONB, for new agents.
  • New Agent Recruitment Target
  • Active New Agent & Activity Ratio
  • Retention Target
  • Increase Number of Recruiting Leaders
  • Timely Reporting of Performance and Engagement with Leaders – part of non financial measures

  • External training partners/vendor that affect onboarding of recruits

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education – Degree Holder
  • Experience – Minimum 5 years of agency/sales management experience and/or managerial experience related to agency management.
  • Certifications/licenses – M5/RES5, M9, M9A, HI (preferred)
  • Special skills : Public speaking skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint, knowledge of local insurance recruitment environment and policies is an advantage.
