Position Responsibilities:

  • Support Appointed Actuary Team Lead in new product and sales campaign assessment and approval, including but not limited to review of pricing assumptions, reserving/solvency bases, modelling requirements etc.

  • Support adherence to statutory regulations, and corporate compliance and risk management policies.

  • Coordinate and manage deliverables to regulators and MLS Board of Directors. This includes but is not limited to local Actuarial Investigation Report, MAS Stress Test, ORSA Stress Test local capital management and planning and local statutory reporting.

  • Coordinate and manage other deliverables including Local Capital Report, Early Warning Testing, Local Capital Plan, Financial Condition Testing, and Internal Capital Target Setting.

  • Manage and complete ad-hoc projects

  • Coach, develop and supervise team members.

  • Act as deputy to the Appointed Actuary Team Lead.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Actuary from a recognized Actuarial examination body.

  • 10 years or above of Actuarial working experience, with experience in pricing, valuation and capital management a key advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

  • Ability to manage and drive project completion within timeline.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with other departments and Group / Regional office.

  • Strong leadership and experience in developing junior staff members.

  • Working knowledge of AXIS will be an advantage.
