Chief Technical Advisor - MechanicalJob Responsibilities
- Perform a supervisory role for static and rotating equipment/packages on offshore projects
- Responsible for designing and selecting specialty rotating/static equipment on EPC projects, such as process gas compressors, gas turbines, sea water injection pumps, etc. throughout various engineering work phases (feasibility studies, conceptual design, FEED studies, and detailed engineering for offshore, FPSO and LNG Projects), including pressure vessels, GDU packages, CO2 packages, H2S packages, SWT packages, vacuum deaerator packages, and tanks
- Ensure the selection of specialty rotating/static equipment on EPC projects complies with International API codes and client specification requirements
- Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for specialty rotating/static equipment and packages
- Handle complete requisitioning of specialty rotating equipment and packages
- Coordinates work with interdisciplinary teams, clients and suppliers.
- Evaluate technical bids and prepare technical bid tabulation reports by interacting with suppliers, clients and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, model review studies for packages, coordinating and closing out mechanical-related issues.
- Conduct vendor document and design reviews for specialty rotating equipment and packages
- Supports technical proposals
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 15 to 20 years of offshore project experience (wellhead, fixed platforms and FPSO) is preferred
- Relevant experience working on EPC projects with reputed International clients, having worked on at least two offshore projects worked as a Lead Engineer
- Well-versed in international industry codes such as ASME, API, etc.
- Strong coordination and good oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with NORSOK requirements and U.K. Standards and regulations is crucial, especially since the FPSO will operate in U.K waters and must conform to certification requirements
- Shall possess Good Leadership Qualities and Communication Skills
