COMMUNITY HEALTH OUTREACH FOR WELLNESS (CHoW)
Program dedicated exclusively to the migrant worker community. Launched in 2017 and refocused in 2023, CHoW aims to bring affordable ancillary services closer to these vital members of society. The program offers a variety of engaging activities in collaboration with partners, including wellness spaces featuring arts and crafts workshops, health check-ups, and monthly outings.
Aims to provide welfare and assistance to vulnerable communities in Singapore, targeting Migrant Domestic Workers and Migrant Workers. Recognising them as an important part of our community, SRC focuses on their holistic health, especially mental health, and training to hone their skills.
JOB SCOPE
Operation Support
Curate and execute activities
Lead and take charge of events
Ability to tailor the programme accordingly to needs
Support outreach efforts to build community awareness about the programme
Stakeholder Management
Recruit and train volunteers
Maintain a pool of regular trained volunteers
Conduct dry runs for volunteers
Maintain good relationships with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
Administration Support
Responding to general queries about the programme over email and phone
Putting up Purchase Requisition and Orders where necessary
JOB SPECIFICATION
Requirements and Experiences
Comfortable working with the migrant community
Willingness to travel for work, especially to South Asian countries
Working days: Sunday - Thursday
Willingness to work on Public Holidays and after working hours (time off will be provided)
Skills and Knowledge
Possess excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with good command of English
Other spoken languages, such as Tamil or Bengali, will be an advantage
Computer literate
Good interpersonal and organisational skills
Meticulous with an eye for details and able to multitask effectively
Class 3 Driver’s License will be an advantage
