We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Commodity Financing team in Singapore within Citi Global Markets. As a Commodity Financing Business Developer, you will be responsible for originating and executing physical commodities linked financing transactions across the commodities spectrum in Asia.
In this role, you will work closely with corporate and sovereign clients in the AsiaPac region to identify and develop business opportunities. You will partner with internal teams across the bank to deliver bespoke working capital solutions and provide trusted advice on commodity financing structures.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Deal identification and origination of commodity financing transactions
• Collaboration with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Trading, Structuring, Logistics, and O&T to close deals
• Growing the business through existing client relationships and developing new ones
• Assessing risk and reward of transactions when making business decisions
To succeed in this role, you will require:
• Proven experience in a similar position, preferably in a client-facing role
• Strong understanding of commodity financing structures and market trends
• Demonstrated deal track record across Asia, with a network of contacts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A bachelor's degree or higher, with a master's degree preferred
