Job Summary:

We are looking for empathetic and reliable Elderly Caregivers to provide support to elderly individuals in their homes or at our care facilities. The caregiver will assist clients with personal care, daily activities, medication management, and companionship. Our ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our elderly clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Mobility Assistance: Assist clients with mobility, including walking, transferring, and using mobility devices.
  • Meal Preparation & Feeding: Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding, and ensure proper hydration.
  • Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications and monitor adherence to prescribed routines.
  • Companionship & Emotional Support: Provide companionship, engage in meaningful conversations, and offer emotional support to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Monitoring Health Conditions: Observe and report any changes in physical or mental health to the supervisor or healthcare professional.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, including daily activities, health updates, and concerns.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or equivalent required. Certification in elderly care is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient demeanour.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of elderly care, including safety procedures and proper lifting techniques.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and mobility support.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of a background check and health screening is required.
  • Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required (if applicable).
