The Catering Assistants help with all activities related to event catering. Their duties and responsibilities can include assisting with basic food preparation activities, including washing, peeling and cutting vegetables. Cleaning and sanitizing all tableware and chafing dishes before catering events, setting dining tables and ensuring that guests have a quality dining experience.
Responsibilities:
Clean the kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors; washing work tables, cutting blocks and boards, refrigerators, walls and any other surfaces; separating recyclables from garbage, then remove all this waste material and cleaning the kitchen garbage cans at least once daily
Wash, clean & make dry the dishes, utensils, pots, pans, chopping boards, kitchen equipment etc
Assist the cook; wash, peel and slice vegetables and fruit; measure and assemble ingredients for frequent orders and pack take-out orders
Followed all food safety & hygiene guidelines and standards.
Assist the cook to prepare necessary ingredients
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
Requirements:
Preferably with 1 year’s relevant experience in F&B making coffee or tea
Minimum secondary school education and with a valid food safety course level 1 certificate
Able to work independently and support other team members proactively
