Job Specification
1. Overall responsible for the QA/QC
2. To lead and ensure a productive and high-performance QA
3. To provide effective and efficient technical support services to support the company’s business growth and operations.
4. To develop and revise the quality assurance framework for the company and to modify and improve the existing production standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), when necessary.
5. To collaborate with all departments, customer, suppliers and government regulatory bodies to ensure that quality is a high priority in the company.
6. To drive projects and processes to ensure compliance with the various food safety and hygiene standards and requirements.
7. To lead and report on quality audits, identify and resolve problems highlighted in yield reports.
8. Ensure that all food safety, quality related and non-compliance issues are investigated and that corrective measures are implemented and adhered to.
9. Oversee of GMP and food safety training for Production personnel.
10. To be involved in the feasibility study for setting-up overseas factories.
11. To perform new product development from ingredient sourcing, laboratory and kitchen trials to commercialization, focusing especially in sauces.
12. To conduct continual improvement of existing products.
13. To conceptualize new and innovative products.
14. To source for new and alternative suppliers.
15. To conduct sensory evaluation and approval of new and/or alternative raw materials.
16. To prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs.
17. Collaborate with the Marketing department to understand the customers’ needs and requirements and to also assist in troubleshooting customers’ technical issues (when necessary).
18. Ensure all product creation complies with customer, government and legal regulatory requirements within the country of use.
19. To conduct product stability and shelf-life studies of new products.
20. To develop innovative solutions to help grow and value-add to customers’ requirements, ensuring that any solutions provided are within the stipulated cost parameters and manufacturing capability.
21. To facilitate the handover of new product(s) so as to ensure the smooth transition from test kitchen to Production. This includes liaising with the Technical / Production Manager to ensure that the product development fits the site capabilities.
22. Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory.
23. Liaison with China customers and distributors to support China market.
24. Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related discipline
2. Preferably with 4-5 years working experience as QA in food manufacturing
3. Able to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
4. Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Able to work independently with less supervision.
6. Willing to travel overseas when required
7. With FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor Certificate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,500.00 per month
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
