Working hours: 8am to 530pm(Mon-Fri)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the engagement and negotiation of work with sub-contractors
- Ensure the awarded price is within the budget or to achieve the optimum price level to increase profitability for the company.
- Handle all required legal documents with respect to Letter of Indemnity, Workmen Insurances, Bankers Guarantees, etc.
- Familiar with Ministry of Manpower regulations concerning sub-contracting of work from Companies using foreign workers
- Ensure that Subcontractors adhere the Marine Shipyard Scheme
- Prepare periodic documentation audit of the proof of payments of workers, CPF contributions, levy and dormitory
- Daily monitoring of workers whereabouts, ensure that they are not cross-deployed to other shipyards
- Check documents submitted by Sub-Contractors
- Maintain and update Sub-Contractors documents submitted for safety induction
- Verifying back charges issued by the other departments (Store, Maintenance, Production, Safety etc.) to Sub-Contractors and submit to Finance Department for billing
- Process and update approval process of works order
- Provide general administrative support like, prepare minutes of meeting for the department, etc.
Job Requirement:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in administration working in marine shipyard or with commercial experiences
- Good attitude, meticulous and able to work independently
- Team player and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess a positive attitude and willingness to take up challenges
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office applications (ie. Microsoft Excel)
