This research team augments the fundamental investment process with quantitative capabilities at each step of the investment lifecycle, spanning across strategy development, alpha construction, and portfolio/market intelligence. We work directly with the active fundamental Equities and Fixed Income investment professionals.

Key Accountabilities

The intern will work on two-three projects covering the following areas:

  • Expanding the R6 OOP method library for analytics
  • Sector-level indicators to accompany a top-down allocation framework
  • Portfolio construction workflows for Fixed Income portfolios
  • Building apps and dashboards to enable greater self-servicing by investment teams


Qualifications And Experience

  • Strong interest in financial markets and knowledge on how they function
  • Quantitative discipline (eg. Engineering, computer science, data analytics)
  • Some prior experience working with financial and investment data
  • Proficient in R or Python (writing your own functions, not just utilising open source packages)
  • Familiar with SQL
  • Experience working with a SQL Server database is a plus
  • Experience in R Shiny and/or PowerBI is a plus
