We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead and enhance our supply chain operations. This role is key to optimizing our end-to-end process, from freight coordination through to return management. Responsibilities include strategic oversight, building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, warehouse teams, and freight partners, and ensuring timely, efficient delivery to our customers.
Job Description:
- Performance Monitoring: Collect and analyze supply chain data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations for the Supply Chain Manager and other stakeholders.
- 3PL Management: Stay informed about third-party logistics (3PL) storage and fulfillment fees, and keep up-to-date with the latest rates and services.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to prevent issues such as aging and overstock, and analyze data to suggest actionable solutions. Ensure inventory accuracy across our 3PL warehouses, and help implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and improve precision.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure competitive rates, timely deliveries, and high-quality service. Foster collaboration and open communication to address challenges as they arise, and assist in negotiating contracts and terms with freight forwarders.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in supply chain operations. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to eCommerce listings, fulfillment, inventory synchronization, and system integration.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a small team to ensure KPIs are met. Set performance metrics and conduct evaluations to maintain team effectiveness.
Requirements:
- A recognized Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in eCommerce or supply chain management.
- Experience in a supervisory role is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively lead, guide, and inspire the team.
- Experience in eCommerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada or Shopify.
- Excellent data interpretation skills, with the ability to identify issues from data and provide actionable solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to navigate and succeed in a dynamic eCommerce environment.
- Immediate availability to start is a plus.
