What a College Intern - Process Tooling Product Development does at HP:
- We are looking for intern-talents who can assist our current core team of engineers who will be developing & delivering products and solutions to HP's next generation of Thermal InkJet (TIJ) Print Technology, picking up learning in the process.
- Interns will be assigned mentors & will undertake engineering projects that will supplement development work of the core team of engineers.
- You will have the opportunity to work on tooling design, product design, process development, product quality development, writing systems, test & audit tools, reliability testing.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Bachelor undergraduate in Mechanical/Design Engineering with some experience in mechanical design, systems test, statistical analysis, analytical/experimental techniques.
- Ability to partner & work independently.
- Ability to apply engineering fundamentals & concepts.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Failure Analysis and characterization.
- Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Design components/subsystems using CAD.
- Integrate new designs into existing processes.
- Ability to generate test plans, provide short-loop test methods and tools to allow risk assessment.
- Ability to work and interact effectively with team members from other disciplines, cultures, organizations.
- Teamwork and ability to collaborate and communicate ideas is highly valued.
- Growth mindset.
- Able to commit for a full-time internship starting in May 2025, for a period of 5-6 months.
