As part of our continued growth and innovation of our Mergers & Acquisitions service, ERM is seeking motivated Principal Consultant / Consulting Director (Transaction Advisory), who is interested in participating & leading in a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERM’s services to be based in Singapore, where we are growing as a regional hub in ERM APAC.

Some of our key DD services include:
- EHS/ESG/E&S due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, capital raising and project finance including Equator Principles reviews.
- Carbon and energy due diligence.
- Post-merger Integration support.
- Management system, EHS culture, gap analysis, and benchmarking.
- Embedding social, stakeholder and sustainability elements into due diligence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead or support Go-to-Market activities and Partners in client facing BD/ sales activities.
- Manage and perform ESG Due Diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, and property transactions, with a focus on private equity and development finance institution mandates.
- Manage and conduct E&S due diligence for project finance.
- Assess environmental and social risks and liabilities, ensuring alignment with IFC Performance Standards and World Bank EHS Guidelines.
- Conduct detailed analysis of ESG risks, including climate change, biodiversity, stakeholder engagement, labour practices, and community health and safety.
- Provide advice to clients on integrating ESG considerations into M&A transactions, including compliance with international standards like Equator Principles.
- Lead a high-performing and talented team as well as mentor junior consultants.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive assessments covering financial, environmental, and social performance.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferred to be in consultancy with relevant project experiences in EHS/ESG/E&S Due Diligence of experiences or buyer and seller-side transactions in private equity and DFI contexts.
- In-depth understanding of IFC Performance Standards, World Bank EHS Guidelines, and their practical application in M&A scenarios.
- Previous experience around ESIA, ESMP, ESMS development.
- Proven ability to manage projects involving environmental permitting, compliance audits, and post-merger ESG integration.
- Excellent communication (both written and spoken) and coordination skills.
- Experienced in managing multiple medium scale projects concurrently.
- Experienced in drafting and reviewing proposals expeditiously.
- Effective and empathetic leader.
- Ability to travel, maintain flexibility and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with Financial Sector & M&A trends in Singapore and the region, in particular PE, Multi-development Banks and/or commercial banks as a plus.
