Job Description:
- Lead metal Additive Manufacturing process, materials and application development and service projects, including material selection, part design, parameterization, prototyping and manufacturing of AM parts
- Scoping, managing, and executing of customer projects within budget and schedule, ensure deliverables, objectives and customer requirements are met
- Provide technical consultation and support to customer enquiries relating to metal AM application
- Operation of metal AM machines and auxiliary equipment, including maintenance, troubleshooting, risk assessment, and managing of AM lab
- Documentation of project reports, engineering reports, technical data, process know-hows; development of SOPs and best practices for AM equipment and processes
- Support market promotion and customer engagement; participate in local or overseas industry exhibitions, tradeshows, conferences, and seminars; facilitate lab tours, demos and presentations
- Provide technical content to support creation of marketing collaterals such as demo parts, product videos, whitepaper, etc.

- Proactively provide engineering support and solutions to relevant department such as manufacturing, customer service, sales, application
- Adhere strictly to job process defined by Makino's QEHS policy Engineering to achieve and comply to Makino quality standard
- Contribute to improve Makino technical core competency through continuous learning and innovation
- Share knowledge with relevant people to help create a knowledge bank and learning organization
- Independently and proactively develop and validate new unique engineering designs
- Mentor and guide junior Engineers/Technical Officers
- New hire is required to undergo specific tests for who are exposed to certain occupational hazards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree / Master / PHD in Engineering, Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace or equivalent
- Min 5 years of working experience with metal Additive Manufacturing process and application development
- Hands-on experience with LMD/DED machine operation
- Proficient in data preparation, CAD/CAM and toolpath generation for LMD/DED process
- Strong understanding of LMD/DED process, materials, and key process variables
- Experience with parameters development, material characterization, or process simulation
- Familiar with metal AM process chain
- Keen on hands-on work
- Fast learner and agile, able to adapt to dynamic work environment
- Able to work independently and self-motivated
