AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. How you will create an impact
- Support the Underwriters on underwriting analyses and portfolio review for the the retail segment.
- Basic underwriting of new Direct Insurance and Facultative Reinsurance Property businesses / renewals from Agents/ Brokers / Cedants in accordance to underwriting authority & guidelines.
- Process simple endorsements.
- Summarize and send submission to shared service center for them to generate e-start, claims statistics and Sanction/OFAC.
- Consolidate e-start submission summary and help underwriters to update the pipeline list.
- Prepare premium booking sheet and check premium booking and match it with invoices generated.
- Follow up policy, tax invoice and other related documents issuance and deliver them to broker/co-insurers/producers.
- Help underwriters to follow up on outstanding premium, engineering/coinsurance fee with intermediaries and make sure collection on time.
- Consolidate and monitoring on site survey arrangement for the key accounts together with underwriters and engineers to make sure provide loss control service in time.
- Monthly contract certainty report and other reports requested by Regional Office and Home Office.
- Help underwriters to prepare all the documents for internal or external audit.
- File filing works - keep business records complete in the e-filing system and hard copy records.
- Supervise the administration of policy document, premium booking, credit control & data quality management.
- Comply with internal and external audit requirement.
- Manage timely delivery of quotations, documents & reports.
- Participate in ad-hoc global Underwriting Insurance and Facultative Property Reinsurance.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Technical underwriting experience in complex Property accounts is desired.
- Analytical individual with strong business acumen.
- Knowledge of local and Asian insurance markets.
- General Insurance Certified (BCP, PGI, ComGI).
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
- Able to balance underwriting, marketing, and client’s management responsibilities.
- Team player, with an ability to build relationships with external business partners and internal stakeholders.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
