We are seeking a talented individual to join our Energy & Power team at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We are seeking someone who has established themselves within the insurance industry, ideally with a strong bias from one of the following; Power, Energy, Property or Construction Lines. The successful candidate will join the team of seven people working for Energy and will be responsible for building client relationships, managing existing book of business and assisting in acquiring new clients.
We will count on you to:
- Serves as first point of contact for day-to-day communication with numerous and/or complex accounts, follows up on correspondences and manages/maintains communications.
- Supports colleagues by managing day-to-day aspects for designated accounts and conducting ensuing account management tasks including preparing slips and endorsements, sending out documents to reinsurers and following up with them to return such documents, preparing billing transactional work, following up with billing/invoicing process including reconciliation with various parties where required
- Manages account concerns or issues encountered and successfully addresses smaller less complex problems in a timely manner, applying judgement as to when and what to escalate up to senior colleagues
- Act as a first point of contact within service team for day-to-day insurance queries, be proactive in servicing, and anticipate any issues at an early stage.
- Maintain good relationship with reinsurers who will assist in the placement of accounts
What you need to have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in broking and/or reinsurance field.
- Have Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent or complete CGI within reasonable period upon employment.
- Relevant specialty experience is not required.
