Job Description:
- Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
- Supervise the preparation of all food
- Ensure any staffing issues are resolved fairly and quickly
- Estimate staff’s workload and compensations
- Ensure wastage is minimised by careful supervision of food preparation methods
- Teach new staff skills they require to perform their roles to the required standard
- Work closely and efficiently with other departments to achieve company’s goals
- Monitoring inventory and purchasing supplies and food from vendors
- Be available for functions as they arise to ensure that the food is prepared and served as required
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a back-of-house management position will be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Culinary Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English language
- Ability to remain productive in a high-pressure environment
