Job Responsibilities:
Proactively assist and engage guests in a professional and inviting manner.
Enhance every guest’s visit by providing detailed and accurate information about the attractions, directions and events happening within S.E.A. Aquarium (SEAA).
Facilitate programs and educational activities/presentations in and around the aquarium.
Assisting with special events operations such as seminars, weddings, company dinner etc.
Manning activities at various workstations/themed events to ensure smooth operations in SEAA.
Performing and/or escorting animated characters and participating in photo opportunities according to SOPs.
Setting up crowd control requirements before, during and after the special events
Manages guest's traffic which includes but not limited to walk-in guests, group and school tours, events, and meeting attendees etc.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Handling ticket sales using a POS System
Participate in on-going professional development opportunities and training.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Diploma, preferably in Hospitality & Tourism
Candidates with GCE ‘O’ levels or above with good presentation skills will be considered.
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage Aquarium guests of all ages.
Confidently performing tasks such as public presentations and engagements.
Able to execute proper & safe handling of marine animals at touch pool.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.
Able to withstand extended walking and standing for a prolonged period.
Able to perform shift work, willing to work during evenings, weekends, public holidays, late nights, and work in an indoor/outdoor environment.
Able to work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
