The Drydock Manager will oversee all aspects of the drydocking process for ships and vessels, ensuring that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry regulations and company policies. This role involves managing a team of skilled workers and coordinating activities across various departments to achieve project goals.

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage drydock operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations throughout the drydocking process.
  • Supervise and lead a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff in executing drydock repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitor the progress of drydock work, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding project status, issues, and resolutions.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality of drydocking services.
  • Coordinate with procurement for necessary materials and equipment required for drydock operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to drydocking projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ship repair and drydock operations.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety standards.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Willingness to work odd hours and on weekends as necessary.
