Attending to sales enquires, generate and present quotations Communicates clear and efficiently. Develop and introduce sales strategies and marketing plans. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction for developing long term relationships with customer. Following up on cold-calls to potential prospects to increase your sales and achieve your goals. Troubleshoots customer/agent questions and issues timely and provides a permanent solution to reoccurring problems and prepare month-end sales reports
• Sales
Sale visit with the marketing team once a week to follow up with the current customer and also potential customers. Soucing cost from vendors and quote to clients for the freight rate. Sending weekly promotion flyers.
Books shipments with designated ocean carriers in a timely and a cost-effective manner
Schedules dray carriers to load ocean containers in advance of port cut
Establishes positive relationships with ocean carriers, dray carriers, warehouse operators and internal groups (D&P, CS, Logistics); Provide accurate booking confirmations within 24 hours after receipt of allocation notice
• Handle local bookings for all type shipments
Once shipment effect, you will need to co-ordinate arrange booking with shipping lines/oversea agents. Follow up shipment ETA and arrange transportation if needed. Prepare BL/DO and send to customers/agents. And send pre-alert to oversea agents. Maintains knowledge of US and foreign international shipments to ensure Government, customer and company requirements are met
• Invoices /Billing / Costing
Prepare all invoices/dn/cn to customer and oversea agents. Take in supplier’s invoice and costing into system
• Permit declaration Arrange custom clearance and apply permit for each shipments. Declare GST for all Import shipments and do billing to customers.
• Research both potential products for import and prospective domestic markets for resale, by visiting trade shows, negotiate with vendors and meeting with domestic distributors or retailers and negotiate sales terms with manufacturing representatives and oversee shipping logistics.
• Document shipments to ensure that they are in compliance with customs rules and regulations and also counsel clients on matters like tariffs, insurance, and quotas. They categorize shipments according to a tariff coding system. This position also requires consulting with customs agents to ease passage of shipments through customs. Also have to do with shipment of the goods track the location of the shipment. Prepare goods for shipment, using the best, most economical packaging. Transportation, warehousing, or distribution of goods and determine how much insurance to take out on the shipment.
