Position Available: Research Fellow
Join the laboratory of Associate Professor Francesc Xavier Roca Castella at the School of Biological Sciences. We are seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to a project focusing on the prediction and testing of genetic variants potentially affecting splicing by in silico and mainly experimental methods.

Key Responsibilities
- Designing and executing experiments and analyses to predict and test genetic variants that could affect RNA splicing. Key techniques include splicing minigenes, high-throughput sequencing, and CRISPR-mediated gene editing.
- Interpreting experimental data and outlining its implications (substantial experience in these areas is required)
- Preparing manuscripts and presentations for both internal and external audiences
- Mentoring and train Project Officers, PhD students, and undergraduate interns, contributing to the scientific development and productivity of the lab
- Collaborative teamwork is essential
