Job Descriptions:
- Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.
- Obtains list of rooms / public areas to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
- Coordinates work activities among departments.
- Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate the use and maintenance of equipment.
- Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
- Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
- To provide a warm and friendly service to the hotel staff and ensure all staff do the same.
- To comply with all instructions from guests so as to meet guest expectations.
- To attend to any guest complaints and requests.
- To comply and lead by example the hotel grooming standards of self and the room attendants.
- To be fully familiar with Housekeeping Policies and Procedure, Job Description and the Employee's handbook.
- To comply with hotel Fire Safety and Security procedures.
- To perform any other duties other than these above which are requested by the hotel management/direct supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous supervisory experience, preferably in Hotel Rooms Division
- Excellent organizational skill
- Knowledge of the Housekeeping operation
- Excellent human relations skills; able to deal positively with challenging situations
