We are looking to hire a Research Fellow. The candidate should adapt to new carbohydrate synthesis techniques and support the surface assembly processes, electrochemical studies, and antimicrobial efforts led by the other partners in the consortia. The candidate shall work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, who will be most of the time via remote supervision, to conduct research work as follows:Key Responsibilities:Collects and prepare data/ information/ proposal required for relevant grant call processConducts experiments related to the synthesis and characterization of glycans and glycoconjugatesAssists in interpreting and applying processes and procedures to conduct/monitor project progressGathers information/ data and prepare documents for reporting/ papersAssists in and delivers training and coaching new members with relevant laboratory/ technical skillsReport remotely to the PI and travel to Israel for trainingJob Requirements:Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry/ Carbohydrate ChemistryStrong experimental skills, especially in glycosylation, protecting group manipulation, purification, and characterization of glycans and related compounds.Excellent communication and organizational skills while hard-working and able to meet tight deadlinesAble to work independently in gathering information/ data and preparing documents for reporting/ papersWilling to contribute to team services like sharing/ coaching new members with relevant laboratory/ technical skillsWe regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
